Call to Worship – 18th October 2020

Welcome Church Family and any visitors who are with us today

The Good News of the gospel is this: 1 Corinthians 15:3-5

“…that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.”

As Sinners who were dead in sin, we deserved the wrath of God, but thought God has made us alive in Christ!

2 Corinthians 5:21

“For our sake God made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

This good news is something we need to proclaim to the whole world, so as John wrote in is gospel

“…all who receive Christ, who believe in his name, he gives the right to become children of God, 13 who are born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”

This morning we are going to sing about the God of Creation who cares for us and chose us before the world began and the eternal hope we have in him. We are going to sing about our Lord and Saviour Jesus, our Good and Gracious King. And we will focus ourselves on his sacrifice as we prepare to partake of the Lords Supper.
